Background
Átlátszó Erdély (meaning: Transparent Transylvania) is an independent investigative journalism project. Their goal is to contribute to a transparent, accountable and democratic Hungarian community of Transylvania.
As a fresh teammember at the creative studio where I was working at the time, this was one of the first major projects where I had larger input, but it was also a great teamwork.

The Logo
The task was to modernize the logo that is fresh and robust, reflecting the truthful and reliable values that the organisation holds. Being a re-design, there was a request for keeping some of the substance of the old logo, so we went on to explore numerous versions.
The seal, which is the main ingredient of the old logo and which is an easily recognizable graphic element for many, was kneaded through a modernizing press, where the tools of typography were used to strike a fresher, contemporary sound, and a new layout, graphic composition , to a level without unnecessary side effects. All this so that the old logo is not completely lost, as it goes back to the predecessor of the texture used in its new surface.

Addition to the logo, a smaller logomark was created for versatile applicability.
